Found in new york: a white feather with black boardering it, just like a seagull. Therefore, hat was made for it. We imagine a seagull soaring by the sea and resting between deep and shallow rocks. This hat was a birthday present from Ms. Yu of Chengdu to her friend Ms. Zhang.

Ms. Ying from Boston asked me to create this customized wedding hat for her friend June living three thousand miles away in the UK. June works in the financial industry, but she is also a dancer and yogi. I found a Spanish ballerina vintage brooch and matched it with a hat base and some yarn in dreamy colors. In the summertime, dance with June.

Came across a pair of vintage Capricorn ear studs in East Village, and I was inspired to make this fascinator. With teardrop fascinator base from London dyed golden and layers of falcon feather from New York, it looks like Capricorn with grown wings.

The inspiration of this hat is from Manet's Le Déjeuner Sur l'herbe (Lunch on the Grassland). Under the newfound sunlight after a bitter winter, wearing this small hat, carrying a basket with wine in hand and going to the grasslands for a picnic is a wonder of spring. Now it belongs to Michelle Toh from Hong Kong.

The song Blue Lotus by a Chinese rock singer Wei Xu is very close to my heart:

May you stay untainted, and the everlasting blue lotus blossoms in your heart. Now it belongs to Ivy Ma. Blue Lotus is also a song that Ivy likes a lot.

Inspired by sweet memories from an upstate New York retreat, where deers wander in the dense forest. In ancient Chinese poems, deers are like fairies roaming fields and forest: "Deers calling and eating grass; for the honorable guests I play the sound of heaven."
