The hat was inspired by goldfish featured in Japanese paintings. Shimmering ripples reveal the fish, like a golden fairy the pond can't hide. Breezy air blurs reflections in the crystal water, of flowers by the shore. Now it belongs to Aubrey Wang in Beijng.

Continuous waves carry a sense of infinity. Each single spray looks similar, yet completely different. This hat is a gift from Ms. Yu Dan for Ms. Hai Ning, whose name means peaceful sea. It contains both her name, and her favorite color blue.

The color of grey sums up my recollection of Berlin. Cubical buildings without much decor, on-time buses without much delay, and clean streets without much clutter. The 20th anniversary of the fall of the wall was in rain. The audience were not only restrained by their umbrellas, but also their prudent and discreet senses, and their joy bounded by tension. This feeling of blue makes the city even more riveting. Nobody asked a question, but the answer is in the wind. Now the hat belongs to Mimi in New York.

The hat is customized made for Ms. Yin Qing in Vancouver. Her name means Rain and Shine in Chinese, so I made a hat with a poem inspired by her name.

This hat is customize made for playwriter Qiongyu Mei in Beijing, in the theme of her name - Qiongyu, from a classic poem by Sushi. "I want to fly home, riding the air, But fear the ethereal cold up there, The jade and crystal mansions are so high!" - Su Shi Shui Diao Ge Tou, translated by Lin Yutang. Therefore I made this hat that is as light as air. It features ceramic pieces made by Renqian Yang - imagination of jade and crystal mansions.

Lin Lin - a musician in London commissioned me to make a hat for a music video of her graduation thesis. The insiration of her music is a love story popular among Dai people. The girl Shao Yu becomes bamboo and calabash when she died from love and the boy creates an music instrument of bamboo and calabash to resonate with nature and memorize the everlasting love.

住在伦敦的音乐人Lin Lin请我定制一顶礼帽，为她的音乐录像造型用。这顶礼帽灵感来源于傣族的凄美爱情故事，少女少玉为爱化身为葫芦与竹子，而少年桑亮则把葫芦和竹子制成了葫芦丝，与自然发出和声，称为《古歌》.

I traveled in Hallstatt along in winter 2009 and stayed in the town for three days. The town was almost empty during the off-peak season so I wandered in the forest and the old streets by my self, only speaking to the nature. By the lake, the town is connected to the outside world by ferry only. The day that I departed, I spent a long time waiting for the ferry along the lake. Suddenly, the ferry appeared in the fog, and coincidentally a colorful hot air balloon came down from the mountains. The small boat, small figure on the air looks like a Chinese landscape painting. The beautiful scenery stays with me till now.

2009年冬季独自旅行去了奥地利的小镇Hallstatt，在几乎空无一人的小镇上住了三天，漫步街头和林间，只与自然对话。小镇与外界与水相隔，需乘每日几班的渡轮前往。临走那天，我在湖边等船，忽然看见一只彩色的热气球从山间徐徐降落，正好船也在驶向岸边。小小的船，小小的人在青山绿水之间像极了一幅中国山水画。此情此景一直驻留我脑海深处。

The hat is made to memorize two songs that I like a lot growing up, Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Yu Guo Tian Qing, the Chinese and English songs both share similar concept.

雨过应该就会天晴吧，若知道痛了就会珍惜了吧。飞越彩虹另一端，是否可以看到梦想成真。这顶帽子是为了纪念伴随成长的两首中英文歌，《Over the Rainbow》和《雨过天晴》，跨越时空的巧合和相似的情绪。

Flamingo always reminds me of sunset glory. Flamingos obtain their wonderful rosy pink color from pigments in the organisms they eat. The color reveals among layers of feather and looks like clouds colored by sunray. The bird wishes it were a cloud. The cloud wishes it were a bird.

火烈鸟总让我想到晚霞，它们奇妙的颜色来自于所食用水藻和鱼虾，在层层叠叠的羽毛之间晕染，像是晚霞透过云间。云儿但愿化身为一只鸟，鸟儿但愿化身为一朵云。

Artist Morgan O'Hara used to travel and live in many places in the world. She keeps collecting small objects. Some were given to me for hat making. I used some holy berries and a vintage botton from her. Feels like a growing tree which tries to break the limit of earth and yearn into sky.

艺术家Morgan O'Hara旅居世界各地，积攒了很多小物，都收集起来赠予我做帽子。这顶礼帽用上她赠送的小红果，和一枚纽扣，仿佛小树突破土壤的限制，努力向空中生长。
