The hat is made with the theme of Dr. Pepper, a drink brand favored in U.S.A. I found a vintage Dr. Pepper chapstick brooch from New York and made a birdcage fascinator from it, a tribute to vintage pop. Now it belongs to Ms. Zhang in Chengdu.

A combination of hand-colored feather and a dried daisy from an Iranian bookstore in Boston, this hat reminds me of a bowerbird's brightly colored nest: oh, I love pleasing you! The hat is a gift to Janine Feng, who now resides in Arizona and Mexico. Seeing a hat is like meeting in person.

Spanish Wells, a fishing village in the Bahamas that has around 2000 population, has beautiful pink and white sand beaches that form from corals and shells. The fascinator is a memory and a piece of puzzle from the island. Now it belongs to Chloe in Hong Kong.

A vintage diamond peacock brooch is the inspiration of the fasinator. This hat is made with a local straw hat from Spanish Well, a fishing island with 2000 residents in the Bahamas. All of the materials are from the village, except for some felt balls and a vintage conch brooch that I carried from New York. The shells and conchs are found on the beach.

The conchs in sea listen to the song of the conch from the city.
